We advise that as of 10.30pm Wednesday, 10th of February, DHHS has changed the classification for the whole Centre to a Tier 2 exposure site meaning: anyone who attended the Centre between 3.40pm and 4.30pm on Friday 5 February 2021 is strongly encouraged to urgently get a test and isolate until they receive a negative result. https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/case-locations-and-outbreaks…. This includes tenants and their staff, security, cleaners and Centre Management who were working during this time frame.

We thank you for your co-operation and support during this time.

Wednesday, 10th of February, 5:00am

Dear Sunbury Square Customers,

Further to our post last night, after becoming aware of the COVID outbreak at the centre approximately 9:40pm last night, Centre Management swiftly actioned the centre’s Covid-safe plan and deployed cleaning crews to clean and sanitise the centre in accordance with DHHS requirements and specifications.

We are happy to announce that as of 5:16am this morning, DHHS have provided the shopping centre with a clearance certificate to open the doors for trade.

Unfortunately the 5 businesses within our centre noted on the Department’s website of whom have close contact with a positive case, are still closed while we work through cleaning and contract tracing.

https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/case-locations-and-outbreaks…

We are committed to supporting these businesses closed today in their speedy clearance from the Department and their re-opening.

We thank the Department’s prompt and decisive response and their continuing support to this matter.

Should you have any queries please contact the Department of Health following the link above.

We will update you on the progress of our closed business as we obtain updates from the Department.

Wednesday, 10th of February, 1:00am

Dear Sunbury Square Customers,

We have been notified by the DHHS this evening, that a customer who recently shopped at Sunbury Square Shopping Centre has tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19).

The customer shopped at Bakers Delight, Aldente Deli, Sushi Sushi and Asian Star on Friday 5 February 2021 during the hours of 3.40pm and 4.30pm and Saturday 6 February attended Sunny Life Massage between 4.30pm – 6.30pm.

A full public health response is underway by the Victorian Department of Health.

Our specialist cleaning team are conducting a deep clean of the common areas including the centre amenities tonight, in line with DHHS guidelines.

The wellbeing of our community is our highest priority, and we continue to take all necessary steps to ensure ongoing safety in the centre. If you have been shopping at the centre on or since Friday 5th February and experience even mild symptoms, please ensure you get tested and remain at home until you receive a negative test result.
